Paid Survey Myths and Misconceptions
There are a many, many misconceptions and myths about paid survey sites, so I want to use this space to clear up a few of the most common.
-There is no way to make free money online. These things are all scams!-
FALSE. While there certainly are a lot of scams out there, I definitely can't dispute that, there are plenty of 100% legitimate sites as well. CashCrate is one of them, and in my opinion, it's the best, highest paying Paid Survey site out there. CashCrate has been in operation since early 2006, and has paid its members roughly $2 million total since then. It is one of the oldest sites of its kind, and has thousands of active members. And I, and thousands of others, have really, truly, actually received checks from CashCrate ! If you haven't seen them yet, here are my checks from CashCrate ! How can a site that never asks you for money, and consistently pays its members month after month, possibly be considered a scam?
-It's impossible to make money on sites like this. You only get like $.02 a survey!-
Laughably FALSE . Not only do you get much more than 2 cents per survey, but CashCrate offers its members multiple ways to earn, and all of them are lucrative. In my first 30 days with the site, between July 28th and August 28th, I made almost $90. Unless I wanted to give up eating and sleeping, there's no way I could have made $90 (especially as a new, inexperienced member) if it wasn't quick and easy to make real money on CashCrate .
-These sites claim you won't have to spend anything, but they will eventually ask you for money!-
FALSE. I have never spent a cent to make money on CashCrate , and I never will. CashCrate will never ask you for money, and they will never ask you for your credit card information. You can feel secure with CashCrate because they have no way of taking money from you, and aren't even interested in doing so.
-These sites ask you for credit card info and your Social Security Number! They're not safe!-
FALSE. As stated above, CashCrate will never, never, never ask you for this information!
-It's easy to make $1000-$3000 a month with sites like these!-
I WISH IT WERE TRUE! While there are plenty of people out there bringing in this kind of money from paid survey sites (I've personally seen scanned CashCrate checks online for almost $2000, for just a single month's earnings), they are doing it through the referral programs, not through the actual surveys themselves. Unless you want to pay to put your referral link on billboards and commercials, or spend every waking hour recruiting people to sign up under you, or you have a really effective way to reach thousands of people (like a popular website or YouTube channel, for example), you won't make this kind of huge money. $50 a month is possible, and very easy. $100 a month is possible, and relatively common (I personally made over $100 in September and November). Even $500 a month is more than possible if you're creative and ambitious and are able to effectively attract referrals. But $3000? Probably not. Anyone telling you they effortlessly make this kind of money is either exaggerating, or just plain lying. And they're definitely insulting your intelligence!
